HOTEL TERRACE

The All Inclusive hotel is stylish and full of character - Own funicular to village centre - Lounge and bar - Nightclub - Sauna and steam room - Solarium - Children's Club - Internet Terminal - Evening entertainment - Buffet breakfast - Lunch in a choice of mountain restaurants - evening meals with buffets for all courses - All bedrooms with private shower, WC, cable TV, hairdryer, safe and some with balcony (standard twins are in the annexe, connected to main building) - 200 bedrooms - Lift

The magnificent Hotel Terrace, built in 1904, dominates the village of Engelberg. It has recently been refurbished with newly renovated standard rooms with shower and WC in the annexe and superior rooms with a balcony and views of the village in the main building. The Terrace offers excellent value for money as an all inclusive hotel The hotel's own private funicular runs until early evening to and from the town centre where you can join the FREE buses to the main ski lifts 5 minutes' walk away.

The Tunnel Lift System, a new tunnel-lift system brings you within a few minutes directly to the centre of Engelberg. TheEngelberg ski bus runs from mid-December through until mid-April, a free ski bus shuttles people from the train station to the gondola station at the base of Titlis. (Approx. 20 minutes by foot from the hotel).

If you require a place for your luggage either before checking in or after checking out, there is a luggage room available. Hotel Terrace takes no responsibility for thefts. There are also two rooms available for showering and changing

RESTAURANTS & MEALS

In the wonderful, modern dining area, the catering team – managed by André Egli – is ready and waiting to serve up a whole range of delicious food just for you. Here, in the largest communal space in the whole building, there's room for up to 220 people — for dining, chatting, dancing…

Breakfast - Breakfast is served from 7 am to 10 am. We also offer a late breakfast from 10 am to 11 am.

Evening meal From 6:30 pm to 9 pm. The evening meal takes the form of an all-you-can-eat buffet with a different theme each evening.

During the WINTER, an extensive 5-course, themed buffet meal is served here each evening, with a selection of manned cooking stations.

For Sheer extravagance for all the senses. Every day a different selection of food is on offer as part of our extensive 5-course, all-you-can-eat evening buffet.

"Chandra" – Indian Restaurant You can enjoy exotic cuisine from the country of spices in our Indian-themed restaurant "Chandra"! Our Indian kitchen crew will be more than happy to recommend you delicious table buffets.

The restaurant is open from May until end of July, from 7 pm to 11 pm and food is served from 7:30 pm to 9:30 pm. The price for your very own table buffet is From £23 per person.

Lunchtime at 2800 m and your stomach's rumbling?

No worries! With the all-inclusive package, lunch at various Titlis Gastroland self-service restaurants is included. All you have to do is present your voucher and enjoy your lunch

   This spacious self-service restaurant, with its own sun terrace and amazing views, is the perfect place to pick up a tasty lunch. Located at the heart of the ski resort, skiers from Titlis meet up with boarders from the boarder park to catch up and share animated stories.
3. Linie 8 restaurant The meeting place at the base gondola station before heading up Titlis.

The cosy rustic ambience in the Cave, coupled with a high quality technical equipment invites you to linger and is equally suitable for shows, parties, original events and aperitifs.

Sonnenberg Swimming Pool

Sonnenberg swimming pool is around 5 minutes' walk from Hotel Terrace. Swim a few lengths or simply refresh yourself in the cool waters of our Sonnenberg swimming pool. The 25 m indoor pool and 50 m outdoor pool is the perfect places to while away a few fun hours. We also have a kid's pool for our younger visitors. After working up an appetite in the pool, you have the opportunity to get your energy levels back up with a snack at the pool's cafe.

Most days at Hotel Terrace have a special theme:

As part of "typisch Schwyz" you'll have the opportunity to join us in some typical Swiss activities out in the fresh air and for "Pasta I Basta" we'll become Italian pizza makers.

As blood-thirsty vampires we'll take part in a scary trail through the hotel: plus there'll be a big hotel rally giving us the chance to familiarize ourselves with the hotel; and we'll be getting creative making shapes out of play dough. Fun is guaranteed!

Here are just a few of the program highlights:

• Getting to know you games get to know each other by taking part in lots of fun games. You can look forward to a creative and musical start to the week.
• Cooking like the Italians We will help you make your very own pizza and let you choose your toppings. What's more, you'll be able to take away some home-made pasta as a little Italian souvenir.
• Vampire day Watch the transformation into ghoulish vampires before your very eyes.
• We'll make you up as vampires or bats so you can take part in a scary but exciting trail of adventure through the hotel.
• Sports day here you can show us just how sporty you are by joining in various ball games and other activities that will test your sporting ability. A surprise awaits the winner of the day!
• Kids table All kinds of delicious treats await kids at the special kids table from 6 pm to 6:30 pm.
• Mini disco Come and join us in our very own disco "CAVE" for a big kids disco from 8 pm.
• Spend half an hour dancing to your heart's content to some of your favourite music.

Your first time skiing on Titlis?

We'll be happy to introduce you to the best pistes, the most stunning mountain scenery, the cosiest chalets and most popular après ski bars in the area. Members of our program team are at hand to accompany you as you discover some of the best slopes in Central Switzerland.

We meet at 9 am in front of the hotel from Monday – Saturday, allocate the various participants to groups according to whether they want a bit of action or a more leisurely approach to the day and then it's off into the deep white yonder.

Children under the age of 16 are welcome to join us in the company of an adult. All participants must be able to ski.

Ski School

Ski lessons:

Conquering the most beautiful slopes far and wide together with other skiers – it doesn't get much better than this! You'll have a fun time polishing up on your technique – ski lessons in small groups are perfect for those looking for fun, recreation and good company.

It's fantastic that you want to try something new! The world of snowboarding will be a real inspiration! As part of a trial session, we will teach you some of the basic techniques and tricks to make your first day a truly unforgettable experience.

Whizzing Down the Mountain …

Excited shouts and a fresh flow of air pummelling your skin, hair and ears.

Fresh powder snow flying in all directions. Tobogganing fun in Engelberg. The snow paradises of Brunni, Gerschnialp, Fürenalp and Klostermatte beckon. An amazing experience: steering the toboggan with a lunge to the left and then a foot to the right.

Gerschnialp toboggan run (3.5 km) Rent your toboggan at the gondola station. Open Christmas through mid-March, snow conditions permitting. Breathtaking ride. Brunni toboggan run (2.5 km) 2.5 km family toboggan run from Brunnihütte to Ristis via Hütismatt. Toboggans are available to rent.

Fürenalp toboggan run/winter walking path (approx. 1 km) Ideal for families with young children. Free toboggan rental at the gondola station. After an ascent of approx. 20 minutes, you will be ready to enjoy the fun, leisurely 1 km toboggan run back down to the gondola station.

For those on their first tobogganing adventure, the gentle descent from Klostermatte is a great way to get started!

Ice Rink

The ice rink at the sports park is a great place for both kids and adults to spend a fun few hours on the ice. In winter, weather permitting, there's also a large, natural, outdoor ice rink. Special events, including ice discos for kids and other such attractions, are arranged each season.

Sports Park

The Engelberg sports park is a great meeting place for all ages and the perfect place to enjoy your favorite pastimes and experience new sports. It is located near the base gondola station and can be easily reached on foot from the hotel. The following activities will keep you entertained and are great fun:

Curling: Why not try this cool Swiss sport with granite stones and brooms. During a two-hour session, an instructor will introduce you to some of the secrets and skills of the popular sport of curling.

Climbing: Master the 12-meter-high climbing wall with the help of a climbing guide and you'll see just how easy it is to make it to the top! Ideal training for outdoor climbing or perfect as a bad-weather alternative.

Gym: Who doesn't dream of having the perfect body? A fit body is a healthy body, making you feel more self-confident and secure. No other form of sport shapes your body so quickly and effectively than the gym.
