Ellmau in Austria Resort Guide

Ellmau is a smaller alternative to Soll. It has a quiet, sedate charm even although it has expanded steadily. Good value for money there is plenty of local skiing for families, beginners and intermediates. It benefits too with the Ski Welt's continued heavy investment in snowmaking, doubling the area covered each year for the past two or three years. Scheffau is adjacent to Ellmau and is a charming village worth seeking out for its traditional Tyrolean ambience. It has nursery slopes by the village but the lifts to Bradsdatl start in Blaiken.
