Snowmass in USA Resort Guide

Born2ski recommend Snowmass for its superb all round terrain and excellent ski in out accommodations.

With some of the best Off piste ski terrain also it truly is a great all round ski resort.

Having skied here many times - and had more than my fair share of top powder days - the snow record and lack of major queues make it one of my favourite ski areas - I hope you get chance to experience all that it has to offer.

At 4,406 vertical feet, Snowmass has the most vertical in the USA. And with 3,132 acres of terrain, 91 trails, 21 chairlifts and easy access to a superb selection of blue cruisers, deep snow covered glades, steeps, and with world class terrain parks and halfpipes, Snowmass really does offer something for everyone.

Ski Lifts: 21 Total: 19 primary: 1 eight-passenger gondola, 1 high-speed six-passenger lift,

1 six-passenger pulse gondola, 7 high-speed quads, 2 quads, 4 ski/snowboard school lifts (including magic carpets);
2 secondary: 2 platter pulls

The Sky Cab lift opens at 0800; the Cirque lift opens at 1000 the Village Express and Big Burn lifts open at 0830

All other lifts open at 0900

Most of the lifts close at 16:00

Accomodation & Après Ski

Snowmass has some top class accommodation - ranging from the great value Pokolodi Lodge to the brand new Viceroy Hotel and well established Stonebridge Inn and Silvertee Hotel in the main Village.

With some top class restaurants on the -mountain at Sam’s Smokehouse at the top of the Village Express chair, or in the base village at Sneaky’s Tavern adjacent to The Treehouse Kids’ Adventure Center. Our favourite is Up 4 Pizza - a great stop to re charge your battery ready for the exceelent runs on the Cirque.
