Born 2 Ski are pleased to offer this ski in/out chalet with hot tub and excellent food
This ski-in, ski-out luxury La Plagne chalet offers everything you’d expect for a truly unforgettable ski holiday. Be it the marble-lined all-en suite bathrooms, the picture-windows with truly stunning views of the Isère valley, the luxury 7-seater hot-tub with views of Mont Blanc, the gourmet, professionally catered dining, or the skiing accessible straight from the front door - everything in Chalet Pisteside is set up for a chalet holiday you’ll find hard to match elsewhere
Situated in the village of Les Coches in Montchavin La Plagne, (one of the 10 resorts that make up La Plagne), the chalet is only a single lift away from the Vanoise Express, the impressive cable car joining La Plagne with Les Arcs, making Chalet Pisteside is perfectly situated to take full of advantage of the 425kms+ pistes that make up the “Paradiski”.
As you walk in, you can see how wonderfully ski-in, ski-out the chalet really is - you can literally ski to and from the front door, with the nearest piste being mere yards away. At the same time, you get to see the wonderful hot tub on the balcony, our cosy heated boot-warmers, and as you step in to the lounge it’s difficult not to be slightly awed by the fantastic views of Europe’s largest mountain, Mont Blanc, plain for all to see in the huge windows off the lounge and the dining room.
Plus everything else you'd expect from a top-end chalet holiday - free wifi and use of chalet laptop, roaring log-fire, plenty of comfy sofas, books, DVDs and games. So much in fact, that you may find yourself wanting to stay in rather than go out skiing!
Nowadays, good food and wine are one of the most important parts of any great holiday. The operators are passionate about cooking and plating up rich, delicious food that you will remember long after your holiday is over.
And for that reason, unlike many chalet firms, they only employ professional chefs, to ensure they provide guests with true gourmet cuisine.
In fact, over the years, they have had the pleasure of working with young chefs who have between them been in Masterchef the Professionals; worked with Raymond Blanc; worked under Michelin starred chefs; and cut their teeth at prestigious hotels and fine dining establishments.
Because the chefs have all had experience in fine dining restaurants, you will have the opportunity to eat restaurant-quality food every night, exquisitely presented and tasty to match. But knowing that skiers don't want tiny portions, they ensure that your dinners will also satisfy the hungriest of athletes!
A week’s holiday here consists of six fully-catered days including breakfast, afternoon tea and a 4-course dinner. They have one day off so that you get the opportunity to sample the local cuisine in the village.
Breakfast is plentiful, with a choice of cereals, croissants and breads, fruit yoghurts, porridge and a cooked option every day. Not just an egg slapped on your plate though - they will serve a variety of sausages, bacon, beans, mushrooms, eggs done all ways throughout the week.
Afternoon tea is a tradition not to be missed after a long day on the slopes, and you won’t be disappointed with the freshly baked cake or biscuits, French baguettes and a selection of teas and filter coffee waiting on the table for your arrival. On colder days mulled wine may await you on your return!
Dinners are sumptuous 4-course affairs, using fresh, seasonal ingredients. Why not start off the evening with an aperitif from the affordable honesty bar, before sitting down to a lovely dinner, ending with a selection of local cheeses to try, all accompanied by unlimited red and white wine at the table. Then retire to one of the many sofas to sleep it off - or maybe a nightcap from the bar, it's up to you
