Pettneu in Austria Resort Guide

Pettneu is a village a few kilometres further down the valley from St Anton which offers a more affordable base and a few beginners runs, and is good for self sufficient skiers and snowboarders with their own transport. Although this is small ski resort with just 4 ski lifts, it does boast a very impressive 792 metres (2598 feet) of vertical descent. Pettneu has 8 pistes with a total length of 15 kilometers (9 miles). Pettneu is only really suitable for beginner and intermediate skiers and snowboarders. There are 22 kilometers (14 miles) of cross country ski trails at Pettneu. For snowboarders, there is a terrain park. About one quarter of the pistes at Pettneu are covered by snowmaking.

However you can access the Arlberg ski area from here with a 5km bus ride. The single Ski Arlberg pass is purchased here and is valid for St Anton, Stuben am Arlberg, St. Christoph, Lech, Zürs, Warth, Schröcken and Sonnenkopf/Klösterle.
