Val Gardena in Italy Resort Guide
A great place to go if you enjoy skiing from village to village as there are several other resorts all linked by networks of pistes and roads. You can reach half a dozen other ski resorts in a few minutes drive. Beginners can enjoy skiing in and around the villages due to the high altitude of the resort and intermediates and experts can take advantage of 175km of lift linked terrain. This area is particularly good for intermediates as you'll find very few runs which you're unable to tackle.
Accomodation & Après Ski
With around 50 places to eat in Val Gardena and notoriously high quality Italian cuisine, you won't be stuck for good food. There are some interesting and delicious local specialites which are not to be missed and many of these can be found at Scoiattolo. If you fancy more traditional Italian fayre such as pizza and pasta try Rino's or the Europa. Nightlife in and around Val Gardena is both varied and lively. Selva itself has everything from live music to DJ's to chilled bars and there truly is something for everyone. If you fancy exploring further afield however there are plenty more bars and clubs in the neighbouring towns of Santa Cristina and Ortisei.
